September 2025, Senawang, Negeri Sembilan – The Budimas Charitable Foundation brought the spirit of unity and patriotism to life at Orion Home, where children, caretakers, and staff came together for a heart-warming Merdeka and Malaysia Day celebration.

Themed “Love My Malaysia, Embrace Independence,” the event featured a lively fashion show with children parading in handmade national costumes, creatively designed with the help of caretakers and matrons. The afternoon continued with a patriotic sketch, storytelling, poetry recitals, and cultural performances, all showcasing the children’s remarkable talents.

Budimas staff also joined in, mingling with the children through fun activities that strengthened bonds and created lasting memories. The children expressed joy and pride, feeling loved and encouraged by the recognition of their creativity and spirit.

The matron’s dedication shone brightly, as they went above and beyond to decorate the home, bicycles, and surroundings with Merdeka-themed props, transforming the venue into a vibrant symbol of national pride.

“This celebration was a true reflection of the Malaysia day spirit where unity, love, and creativity came together. We are proud to see the children’s confidence and talents shine through,” said Ms. Anne Rajasaikaran, Principal Officer of The Budimas Charitable Foundation.

The event highlighted not only Malaysia’s independence but also Budimas’ongoing commitment to empowering underprivileged children, nurturing their growth, and instilling pride in their cultural heritage.
