OCTOBER 2025, PITAS, SABAH — The Budimas Charitable Foundation recently carried out a community outreach initiative at Sekolah Kebangsaan Pekan Pitas II, Sabah, led by its Principal Officer, Ms Anne Rajasaikaran, together with members of the Budimas team.
The visit focused on creating a more conducive and uplifting learning environment for students through a series of hands-on activities. These included painting and beautification works around the school compound, improvements to pedestrian walkways, and a collective clean-up effort involving teachers, volunteers, and students.
In addition to the physical upgrades, Budimas also engaged directly with the schoolchildren through interactive activities designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, and a sense of shared responsibility for their school environment.
As part of its commitment to improving access to education, Budimas also provided laptops for the school’s use, supporting digital learning and enabling students to gain essential technological exposure.
Ms Anne Rajasaikaran shared that the initiative reflects Budimas’ belief that education goes beyond the classroom. “A safe, welcoming, and well-maintained school environment plays a vital role in a child’s learning experience. Through this programme, we hope to inspire both students and the wider community to take pride in their surroundings while supporting learning in meaningful ways.”
This outreach in Pitas is part of Budimas’ ongoing efforts to support underprivileged communities nationwide, particularly in rural and underserved areas, by addressing both educational needs and overall child well-being.
