OCTOBER 2025, KUALA LUMPUR — The Budimas Charitable Foundation concluded its Deepavali celebrations with a meaningful gathering that brought together more than 160 children from various welfare homes and community programmes.
Children from Budimas Orion Home, Pertubuhan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Klang, Rumah Kanak-Kanak Trinity, Rumah Hope, as well as participants from the Budimas Library programme in Kampung Orang Asli Tanjung Sepat, came together for an evening centred on culture, unity, and shared joy.
The celebration featured graceful Indian classical dance performances by the children of Pertubuhan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Klang, showcasing cultural expression and confidence, followed by a traditional Indian buffet dinner enjoyed collectively by all attendees.
Beyond the festivities, the gathering reflected the deeper meaning of Deepavali — a celebration of light, hope, and renewal. By bringing children from different backgrounds together under one roof, Budimas aimed to foster a sense of belonging, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
This Deepavali programme forms part of Budimas’ ongoing commitment to nurturing not only the physical and educational needs of underprivileged children, but also their emotional well-being and cultural appreciation, reinforcing the belief that moments of shared joy play a vital role in a child’s development.
