Bukit Katil, Monday 4th September 2021 – In conjunction with the launch of Budimas No Hungry Child Campaign – No One Should Be Hungry, The Budimas Charitable Foundation organised a charity distribution of groceries to the underprivileged community in collaboration with SK Dato Demang Hussein and JAPERUN Bukit Katil.

The charity campaign was held at Dewan JAPERUN Bukit Katil, Melaka. All the recipients queued in line as early as 8 AM in the morning to register their names which had been divided into two counter sections which were SK Datuk Demang Hussein recipients and Bukit Katil recipients. All procedures were run following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) accordingly.

The charity campaign was attended by the Chairman JAPERUN DUN Bukit Katil, YBrs Tuan Mohd Ridhwan Mohd Ali, General Manager Yayasan Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam (YDMDI), YBhg. Dato’ Wira Zainal Hussin, Principal SK Datuk Demang Hussein, Puan Jamilah Ishak, along with Chief Executive Officer of The Budimas Charitable Foundation, Ms Anne Rajasaikaran.

The aim of this campaign is to reach out to 180 families benefiting 800 children with grocery items that would sustain the needs of the community especially at the phase of a pandemic. Most importantly, the campaign seeks to raise awareness among Malaysians, as we stand together to combat poverty in Malaysia.

Through this campaign, Budimas had been able to provide these families with daily household necessities such as rice, oil, sugar, flour, etc. Budimas also provided these families with healthcare items, toiletries and essential items for children like milk powder and diapers. We were so glad and touched to receive a lot of support and help from both parties. Many teachers came to help to distribute the donation to the recipients as well as staff from JAPERUN DUN Bukit Katil.
